A1 Coach Screen is an online Situational Judgment Test (SJT) that helps sports academies, clubs and coaching companies in India screen coach candidates before hiring. Candidates answer real-life scenarios about physical boundaries, power dynamics, digital conduct and mandatory reporting. Every answer is scored by AI against safeguarding best practice, and you receive a Safeguarding Compliance Report that highlights red flags and green flags to guide your interview.
The test is age-specific — a coach applying to train ages 5–9 faces different scenarios than one training ages 16–18 — and is available in 14 Indian languages, with voice answers and read-aloud support. Each test code costs ₹199 including GST until 1 January 2027 (₹799 after). Academies can buy codes in bulk and share them with candidates; coaches can also buy a code themselves and share their report with employers.

We already do police verification. Why add a test?
Police verification only catches people who already have a criminal record — and very few offenders have one. A1 Coach Screen measures something different: how a candidate judges situations before anything goes wrong. A candidate with a clean record can still misunderstand boundaries, one-on-one contact rules or reporting duties. The test surfaces those gaps before you hire, not after an incident.
How does this help with POSH and POCSO compliance?
SAI/NCPCR guidelines and state codes increasingly expect sports institutions to check their screening and selection procedures for coaches. A documented, standardised pre-hire assessment shows you took reasonable steps — a practical liability shield if your hiring decision is ever questioned.
How is the test scored?
Each answer is compared by AI against best and worst anchor answers for that scenario, and checked for the intent behind safeguarding green flags and red flags — not just matching words. Scores feed into a 0–5 result with a clear verdict, category breakdown and interview guidance for your hiring team.
How do we start?
Register your academy or company, buy test codes, and share a code with each candidate. The candidate takes the timed test online — with camera and full-screen integrity checks — and you receive the report. Coaches without an employer can buy a single code and take the test directly.
